ChatGPT: A Product Card You Can Update Later
A price change should not mean rebuilding a product image. Let ChatGPT make the card's quiet background, then place your real photo and approved words on top as editable layers. Here is a square card you can make once and update when the offer changes.

The Short Version
- Keep the original product photo and a three-line fact sheet.
- Generate a blank card background, not a new version of the product.
- Add photo and wording in an editor; check the export at phone size.
Start with the facts
For this fictional example, the item is Studio Cup, a ceramic mug priced at $18. The approved copy is STUDIO CUP, CERAMIC MUG and $18. For a real product, verify its name, price, currency and condition before designing.
THE EDITABLE CARD
Background layout → original photo → STUDIO CUP → CERAMIC MUG → $18
Keep the original photo next to that fact sheet. The finished card must show the real item, with its handle and glaze as they actually appear.
Copy the blank-card brief
Make a square product-card background. Use warm ivory, charcoal and one small muted-purple accent. Leave a generous blank photo area across the upper two-thirds and a clean blank area underneath for a name, short description and price. Keep wide margins and a simple reading order. Do not draw a mug or any other product. Do not add letters, numbers, logos, badges, stars or claims. This is a layout background; I will add my own product photo and verified words separately.
Build the editable card
In your usual design editor, place the original mug photo in the upper area. Add STUDIO CUP, CERAMIC MUG and $18 as separate text layers. Save the editable file before exporting. When the price changes, change one text layer instead of asking an image model to redraw the mug.
If the background has stray marks or fake lettering, regenerate it or cover those marks in the editor. Keep the approved copy legible against the background.
Before you reuse it
Open the exported card on a phone at normal size. Can you read the price without zooming? Is the entire original mug visible? Does the card contain only your approved words? Save the background, source photo, fact sheet and editable file together. Next week, your correction should be a text edit.
- Photo: the original item, not an AI substitute.
- Copy: current name, description, currency and price.
- Claims: no invented discount, rating or availability.
- File: editable photo and text layers saved for the next update.
